Theme: The role of Emcees and Artist as ambassadors to Climate Change.
At 11:30. Grace Atuhaire the Pied Magazine welcomed the members at the foundation for honoring the event and highlighted the meaning to Climate change inviting the President of the foundation to talk about the Role of Encees and Artist as ambassadors of climate change
Sylas B. Babaluku urged the Emcees to be lead examples in the Climate change awareness through their music and paintings among others
This was followed by a cleaning up session where all members present picked all the plastics that were around the community house to the Rubbish pit and tree planting session.
Emcees like Burney who is the Ugandan coordinator of End of the Week emcee challenge, Cyno, VMP did grace the event. Photographer/Blogger Gilbert, The break Dance crew of Jericho Break dancers were represented by Aaron and Videographer/Visual artist Blaze also participated at the event. We too had the Youngest Uganda’s Hip Hop crew; the Ship crew at the event.
Most emcees did leave the function with a tree to plant in their homes and other communities to also be part of the Climate change Awareness. (These photos will be uploaded soon)
By 12:30, Bavubuka foundation and Pied magazine expressed a big thank you to United for Change among other Climate change advocates and look forward to partnering with you to make an artistic song album for advocacy.
